In our kitchen this week the topic of Outreach Connect conversation was half term and kids going hungry. Outreach Connect is an initiative to fight Food Poverty in our Community
So, here you can see some of the preparation along the way to making 330 meals, 200 of those were kids ones! Most of our ingredients have been diverted from Landfill. Our food started to head out last night to those in need in the district kindly being distributed by the Food Road Angels. A great big thank you to our team including our volunteers Maggie (aged 11), Alison and Todd Hurley.
We have no words to explain how humbled we felt when the lids went on and into our fridge for distribution knowing we would have made a difference to those in food poverty. #outreachconnect #wearegoingtonailthistogether #reducingfoodpoverty
