Congratulations to Karen Woodland who is this week’s recipient of the Lavender ‘You’re Amazing’ Award. Karen runs the Mid Surrey Community Fridge in Leatherhead on a Wednesday. She is a volunteer and makes everyone who visits the community Fridge feel so welcome and at ease. She goes above and beyond for people, is such a lovely kind lady has been there every week throughout the pandemic.
Mid Surrey Community Fridges, www.midsurreycommunityfridges.co.uk, aim is to stop food waste and to redistribute the excess food from supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and suppliers to residents so the food is not wasted. They prioritise those most in need, but anyone can have the food for free from one of their community fridge locations or our van deliveries.
